INPUTS AND OUTPUTS:

1. Set up Lathe Jaws and tooling per work instructions that are provided for each job.
To provide parts to customer specifications both dimensional and quality.
2. Excellent communication with Programmer/ Planner
Communicate any problems with set up instructions or programs.
3. Be a team player.
To increase production.
4. Fill out all inspection reports to the best of your ability.
Assure that both dimensions and quality of part was performed.
5. Must have a sense of urgency.
Increase throughput.
6. Help training of other employees
Helps new hires to be able to run any/all jobs in the department.
7. Good housekeeping.
Helps throughput.
CHALLENGES:
1) To provide Parts that meets all Customer requirements.
2) To continue reducing setup time by making suggestions and comments to your supervisor or programmer for further investigation.
3) To continue reducing run time by making suggestions and comments to your supervisor or programmer for further investigation.
4) To reduce scrap and rework operations because of operator error.

To obtain any further explanation on Setup, Programming Issues,
and Improvements on run times
Inspection Department
To obtain any required inspection equipment that is required to
run job
Engineering Department
To inform Engineer with any and all problems that exist with any
job that they are running
REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
1. Knowledge of standard inspection devices such as Scales, Micrometers, Calipers, Ect.
2. Understanding GD&T.
3. Strong knowledge of CNC Lathe functionality.
4. General computer skills
SPECIAL SKILLS:
1. To attend a 4-year CNC Machinist apprentice program to receive Journeymen card.
2. Effective and strong communication with Supervisor and Programmer
3. Open to change and a continuous improvement mindset.
4. Team player and ability to reduce setup and run times on production.
5. Self-starter with ability to work on multiple tasks, independently set priorities and sense of urgency, in completing responsibilities.
6. Requires very limited supervision and results oriented
